Retro Treatment Upgrade Units

MODULUS_CIRCLES_NOV_2010.png

Our Retro secondary treatment system or septic upgrade system is designed to be installed when you have a failing septic tank or sewage treatment system and you need to achieve a better discharge standard from your existing installation. The Retro unit features the final two stages of our tested Modulus Treatment Plant. The first stage acts as the main aeration stage fitted with a diffuser at base and floating media and the second stage is the final aeration polishing chamber.

Retro can be fitted to existing septic tanks and non performing treatment plants as long as they have have sufficient existing volume for sludge containment and they are still functioning adequately to provide sufficient flow to the interconnecting discharge pipe .

Please Note : It is always important to ask for the required consent to discharge standard from your Environment Agency before going ahead with any modification of existing plants or tanks. Once this is established we can prescribe the most appropriate Retro unit to meet the required effluent discharge standard which can be retrofitted easily by a competent contractor. However firstly we would need to establish the effectiveness and performance of your existing treatment plant or septic tank before a retro can be installed.

There is a limited chance that your application may not be suitable for this type of unit.

Please note also that if you are looking to upgrade an existing septic tank or cesspool that mains power will be required to the site to run the retro unit and installation of the electrical system should be carried out by a qualified electrician or tradesmen.
